The 2022 Safe & Together’s Train the Trainer has been redesigned and is the next generation of Trainer Certification training. This redesign draws from feedback and experience of four years of delivering training in different modalities to nearly 200 trainers supported by 63 Partner Agencies across the globe.  The Train the Trainer course was redesigned to be more responsive, robust, and supportive of the needs of our diverse global trainers and their Partner Agencies and meets diverse learning styles while allowing adequate time to solidify learning and balance work and family responsibilities.

The Train the Trainer has since expanded to 12 weeks and begins 7 September and ends 7 December, 2022.

Each week is comprised of the following learning components:

·        One 4 hour session of live, remote training with Safe & Together Faculty via  Zoom

·        Weekly homework that augments learning and prepares learners for the following week’s sessions

Added features include: 

·        Increased time focused on preparation for training delivery AND actual videotaped training delivery;

·        Content delivery using varied delivery modalities that address diverse learning styles;

·        Upon successful completion of the twelve-week training, including all live training sessions and course work, and signing the Service/Trainer Agreement, a trainer will be eligible to earn Full Certification which enables them to begin training the CORE, Overview, and One-Hour Briefing.  Full Certification is contingent upon attendance at all 12 Mentor calls and successful Trainer Summary Report of 80% or higher on first delivered CORE training.

This live, remote training via Zoom will take place over 12 weeks and includes 48 contact hours. The Schedule is as follows:

September 7, 2022 through December 7, 2022 (weeks of October 19 and November 23, 2022 are off) 

Wednesdays from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm EST

MANDATORY 1  hour PRE-TRAINING ORIENTATION will be required.  

• Attendance at all sessions is required
• Weekly homework assignments
• The live remote Train the Trainer encompasses all of the content and activities of the live training, including practice training sessions, all at reduced cost from the in-person version.   

Cost: $1716.00 USD/ $2265.00CAD includes materials & Eventbrite fees.  Applicable taxes extra. PLUS A $500.00USD NEW PARTNER AGENCY FEE (if applicable).

Pre-Requisites: 

1. CORE Training (including Virtual CORE Training), taken after October 2017 with a passing score of 80% or higher on the posttest.  The CORE training should be completed before submitting this application.  
2. At least three months of Model integration into role or practice prior to application for the TTT, 
3. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.  Consideration will be given for extensive experience in lieu of a degree.
