First Asia Pacific Safe & Together Model Conference in Review

The inaugural, two-day Asia Pacific Safe & Together Model Conference in early 2018 was a partnership between the Safe & Together Institute (S&TI) and the Berry Street Childhood Institute (BSCI). The conference was based on the successful annual Safe & Together Model Symposium held in the United States (coming again in October 2018), and brought together existing practitioners for the first time.

Every Australian state and territory was represented, as well as delegates from Singapore and New Zealand. The conference program was developed by David Mandel with support from the University of Melbourne and BSCI, and showcased current and emerging practice and research using the Model throughout Australia.

Each year, S&TI will provide a full report after the conference, highlighting partners, objectives, and experience responses.
