Developing advocate leadership for survivors and support for child welfare systems.

Child protection workers and domestic violence advocates don’t always agree, even with the same goal of safer, stronger families. Whether as advocates for child welfare-involved survivors; co-located advocates working side by side with child protection workers; or as partners at the policy level, the voices of advocates provide leadership, experience and expertise. The Safe & Together Model’s Advocacy Institute helps develop advocate leadership for survivors involved with the child welfare system as well as support for child welfare systems becoming more responsive to the needs of families.
