Acts of Resistance: The Fight You Weren’t Trained to See

Date & Time

3 September 2026 at 10 a.m. AEST

About the Webinar

Survivors of domestic and family violence are often seen only through the harm they have experienced. This webinar reframes that perspective, highlighting survivors as active resisters whose daily routines, quiet defiance, and courageous choices are acts of resistance. It also explores how children resist violence in ways that systems frequently overlook. Recognising these acts of resistance changes practice, protects children, and restores dignity.

Presented by Safe & Together’s Asia Pacific Regional Manager Jackie Wruck, this session draws on her extensive experience working with children, families, and communities affected by domestic and family violence to challenge conventional thinking and offer a new lens for understanding survivor safety, resilience, and resistance.
