A four-day intensive for practitioners ready to bring the Safe & Together Model into their daily case work. Delivered fully live and online by a Safe & Together Model Certified Trainer through our Virtual Academy on Microsoft Teams. Expect real interaction—lively discussion, small group work, and hands-on activities across all four sessions.
All four days are required for completion. You’ll need reliable access to Teams, and we strongly recommend joining from a computer rather than a tablet for the best experience.

About Live Remote Core Training
Talking about keeping children safe from domestic abuse isn’t enough—practitioners need a whole-of-family, evidence-informed approach they can put into action. Thousands of practitioners and organisations worldwide are already using the Safe & Together Model to do exactly that.
Join us for four days of live remote Core Training in your region. Through experiential exercises, discussion, videos, and lectures, you’ll learn how to:
Apply the Safe & Together Model’s foundational framework, including a perpetrator pattern–based approach and the Multiple Pathways to Harm assessment.
Build core practice skills for working with the whole family, including assessment, interviewing, documentation, and case planning.
Use our Perpetrator Pattern Mapping Tool (PPMT) to strengthen outcomes for families.
Navigate cases where domestic abuse intersects with mental health and substance use.
Identify survivors’ protective capacities—especially for those from marginalised communities—using the Model’s six steps of partnering with survivors.
Intervene with perpetrators as parents, not just as risks to manage.
You’ll also:
Practice interviewing perpetrators, survivors, and children through modelling, role play, and videos.
Sharpen your domestic abuse–informed documentation through individual and group exercises.
Work through your own current or past cases to see how the Model applies in practice.
Leave with an action plan for implementing the Model day-to-day—and influencing your broader community and family service systems.
Score 80% or higher on the post-test, and you’ll meet the prerequisite for Safe & Together Model Certified Trainer status.
Why Live Remote?
This isn’t a self-paced course you work through alone. You’ll be learning alongside a real cohort of practitioners, with a Certified Trainer facilitating discussion, role play, and feedback in real time—the same depth of interaction as an in-person training, without the travel.
