Ally Guide
Family and friends are often the first people to notice something is wrong and the first people survivors turn to for help. Unfortunately, despite loving and caring intentions, these conversations sometimes go awry.
The Ally Guide is a resource to assist family and friends in being an ally to survivors of domestic abuse. A positive first experience talking about the abuse can make the difference between safety and increased isolation and entrapment for a loved one. Knowing what to say and what not to say can help friends and family play the role they want to play: a source of support and safety for their loved one.
