Worker Safety and Domestic Violence in Child Welfare Systems

Addressing workers’ emotional and physical safety concerns must be at the forefront of efforts for child welfare agencies that want to become domestic abuse–informed. From the inception of the Safe & Together Model, worker safety has always been part of the approach. This position paper outlines key issues related to worker safety in the context of domestic violence cases with a focus on supervisory and systems strategies for change.
